An Important Update from the Herring Island Summer Arts Festival
Due to recent developments related to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the A4 Australia National Art Exhibition will be closed to the public from Sunday 22 March.
The breadth of our gallery space means we can provide the recommended social distance between visitors and all visitors are required to maintain proper hygiene in our gallery with hand washing facilities available on site. We ask all those who are ill or who have recently traveled abroad to avoid the gallery altogether.
In this evolving situation, the health and well-being of our members, volunteers and the community are our top priorities.
We continue to closely monitor and assess the situation, taking strict precautions to keep ourselves safe and taking preventative measures.
The gallery will be open this weekend, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March, from 11:30 to 16:30 on both days .

And from the current exhibition:
The Victorian Society of Contemporary Art continues to develop ways to promote the work of Australian A4 artists, particularly through our online services.
Consider investing in unique and affordable works of art from one or more of the one hundred ninety-nine artists who support the exhibition, or purchase one of the 582 works for loved ones!
Soon we will have an online gallery where to buy works and it will be POST (unframed) across Australia at list prices!
Details will be posted here next week.
Anyone who has purchased artwork to date, we will contact us immediately to arrange for removal (not from the island!)

We are very grateful for your continued support and patience as we do our best to support the arts in Melbourne.
This is an unfamiliar area for many of us, so don't forget to be kind, calm, compassionate, and take care of each other. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy and look forward to seeing you again on our favorite island of Herring Island.
