Paintbrush Hall Passes
For the past two years, my school has licensed hall paper-wrapped in the school - but this year our principal told us we could make our own (which is nice because it comes from a bathroom letter paper with wet spots - EW).
While presenting this information during a meeting of our staff, a PowerPoint that had a case appeared if there was a picture in the card room with a brush. It is obvious that he immediately falls in love!
When I got home, I mentioned some inspirational pictures on Pinterest and then I started!
The materials used were:
• 88¢ 4 3" paint brush from Walmart
• White spray primer paint
acrylic paint (and brush)
Innovative black and silver signs
Develop Fat Man (formerly called the Mashmash mod for 20+ years).
I started to apply brush handle tape along the edge of the paint. Then spray the white gloves down with the remaining spray paint from the previous project.
That said, brush handles lyeva down with acrylic paint. Since I was impatient, I decided to cover the sides.. so I used a magnetic mask to dry, hold the hair, then set it on a metal table in the corner of my husband's drawing.
After the first coat, they say, I realized I should actually have painted the sand at first (at first I didn't expect it to be needed anymore). So I went to wash my face with sand, and then put several layers of acrylic paint on the handles freshly painted with sand.
After all the ink has dried, use a black marker to write the words "hall corridor" and "art" in the pen. It is traced in bold letters several times and silver letters used to describe some of the characters.
Once completely dry, the last step is to apply the Fat Man Mode. * very important!
If the knob is not closed, the ink will break and get dirty easily.
I used a shiny costume bottle on the handle and then added a bit of paint on the hair to give the viewer the look of wet paint.
I bought the keys from a relatively free black patent leather jacket Walmart, and now my tickets are hanging on the back door of the classroom. My students and I both love them! Simple project is so much fun!
