My Dirt

I'll start by apologizing for not blogging so much lately. I take a step back.
We all know that the end of the school year is crazy ... but it's even crazier when it gets kicked out of the house!
My husband and I are building our first home, which is incredibly exciting and requires a lot of paperwork! When you think you're done signing or looking for documents ... no.
I understand that many of you already have great art teachers at home, so this announcement may not be very interesting to you (and maybe also because I'm temporarily working as an art teacher), but I wanted to share it!

I've been to our parking lot 10,000 times and I'm sure my husband and son think I'm crazy. Our garden is still full of dirt and grass, so every time I pass I worry if something has changed. He does not know it. Construction hasn't started yet ... and it won't be for another week or so. So I don't know why I should expect this. ;) Once again ... I'm crazy.

"My filth," as my sister used to say.
We recently had a meeting at the design center to choose a project. I think I fell in love!
The color of the brick in the photo below may be slightly different ... but it is very similar.

While it's not shown in the photo above, I think the best part of this new home will be my dressing room. Guys ... it's as big as my son's bedroom. LEGIT.

In addition, the covered patio is equipped with a ceiling fan. I am very happy to sit outside without being in the hot Georgia sun (I would avoid the humidity).

Anyway ... that's what's happening to me.
On a positive note, I'm posting my latest tutorials here so late that I'm ready for some meaningful blog posts this summer! :)
